Inspired by the great acts of service to humanity by social
reformers like Swami Vivekananda, different Indian State units of Sewa Bharati
were carrying out several social welfare activities for the socially and
economically weaker sections of the society all over India since 1985. In order
to coordinate activities of all State units, an organization was formally
registered in the year 2003 by the name of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati.
Since inception in the year 2003, Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has
been growing leaps and bounds with operations across several countries, hundreds
of thousands of employees executing around One Lakh Fifty Thousand (1,50,000)
projects for upliftment of poor and weaker sections of the society.
Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has been playing a significant role in
COVID-19 pandemic by initiating relief activities along with its Twelve hundred
organizations and Twenty two thousand volunteers working pan-india creating
awareness and helping people to deal with COVID pandemic. It has conducted multiple
relief activities in Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana,
Jharkhand, and Karnataka.
Drawing inspiration from Rashtriya Sewa Bharati, India, Maheshwara
Medical College & Hospital, Hyderabad has initiated “Maheshwara
Free PPE Program” to do its part to safeguard the medical fraternity
in the state of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and
Delhi by donating thousands of PPE Kits and over lakh of N95 Masks to
the Government COVID Hospitals.

She further added that Maheshwara has offered free health care programs for volunteers,
